Senior Raina Wan
To keep up with the latest fashion trends, Wan began pursuing her newfound interest in Y2K streetwear during quarantine by shopping at thrift stores. Wan shifted from wearing casual outfits such as jeans and crop tops to baggier pieces, taking inspiration from Instagrammers @inyourdre4mz, @fionnaleigh and @annaastrup.
“I really like using Depop and going to thrift stores,” Wan said. “There are just so many ways to style a piece of clothing and it’s fun exploring these variations along with trying to make ‘unusual’ pieces come together presentably.”

Freshman Jessica Wang
Wang always had an interest in fashion but never had the time to design her own outfits. However, once quarantine began, she experimented with various styles. Throughout middle school, Wang wore what was most time-effective, which were T-shirts and jeans on a daily basis. Now, having the time and energy, Wang explores casual, vintage and business casual attire.
“During quarantine, I get bored,” Wang said. “I don’t really have anything else to do, so I figured, why not get into fashion? Now is a good time to start. I’m growing up and entering high school.”

Junior Dillon Tuan
When school went online, Tuan reverted to wearing pajamas to online class since his classmates and teachers cannot see his outfit below his shoulders. Before quarantine, Tuan had a laid back, casual style. He wore clothes that would make others feel comfortable enough around him to make more friends.
“It’s not like putting on clothes makes you a different person,” Tuan said. “Fashion is just a way to express your personality to others without actually saying anything. Why put in the effort to look good when no one is watching?”
