AP Environmental Science teacher Scott Randles passionately lectured his zero period class as usual when a rampant flying body charged at him. Fortunately, Randles’s quick reflexes came to his defense as he gallantly walloped his forehead. The fly was last seen lying unconscious on the floor of his classroom.
“It was the most heroic thing I’ve witnessed in my life,” junior Buzz Ng said. “If it weren’t for Mr. Randles, we could’ve been seriously hurt. He truly saved our lives.”
News of Randles’s gesture spread nationwide, garnering the attention of various superhero agencies, most notably the Avengers. The Avengers, among other superhero societies, considered recruiting Randles in response to his heroic fly-killing.
“Randles is our new fly-man,” Lord of Thunder and Avenger Thor said. “His speedy reflexes and superior strength is just what we need. Every once in a while, Peter Parker used to do the job, but now that he’s…ahem, moved out of Avengers Mansion, we’re fly riddled.”
Tensions rose amid speculations regarding the standings of Antman and the Wasp. Randles’s decision to join the superforce is pending; however, Thor has started on a “Welcome Home Fly-Man” banner on the outside of their estate.
