Brambila creates Disney merchandise

If Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth, then Senior Victoria Brambila is spreading some of the joy.
Over the past few months, Brambila, through her business Oh Boy Supply Co., has sold Disney-themed products, mainly her self-designed Minnie Mouse ears. Some resemble snow globes or wreaths.
Brambila started Oh Boy Supply Co. last year in September and has sold her Minnie Mouse ears for $15 to $25. So far, she has sold around 20 items through her social media, such as Instagram, and the Holiday Boutique, earning about $400.
“I had been thinking about starting my business for a while, and I finally started in September planning my designs,” Brambila said. “A few of my friends had been telling me to start because they heard my ideas and were bothering me to start already, so I did.”
Brambila finds a trend in the Disney world, thinks about a design, finds colors and materials that would suit the design, executes the design and finally, posts the item on social media for sale.
Brambila sells her products to those who send a direct message to her. She purchases most of her supplies from JOANN Fabric and Crafts.
Currently, Brambila is on a break from making ears because making them requires around two to three hours of work, which had taken relatively large amounts of her time during college application season in the winter months.
Brambila is still in the process of transferring to shirt design, just before the relaunching of her business later this year. Originally, Brambila sold her Disney-related items through her former Instagram account @ohboyitsstory.
Starting this April, to diverge from selling only Disney-centered items, Brambila will be relaunching Oh Boy Supply Co. on her new Instagram account @ohboysupplyco.
She will be including T-shirts inspired by shows such as “Brooklyn 99” that are not part of the Disney universe. She will charge between $15 and $20 per shirt.
“I plan on designing as a side job for as long as I can,” Brambila said. “My goal is to just make people happy with the same things I enjoy, like Disney. I don’t really care that I have extra money or anything. I just found something I enjoy doing that happens to make me money too.”
Look forward to Brambila’s white, red and blue creations inspired by Forky, the new character in “Toy Story 4.” Brambila is dreaming up creations to coincide with the release of the fourth installment in Pixar/Disney’s film series this June.
