Temple City Drumline took their second annual trip to the Winter Guard International World Championships in Dayton, Ohio on April 17-22, where they placed ninth. This was the first year they qualified for WGI finals and they also placed in the top three at each of their other competitions throughout the year, making this their highest-placing year on record. Their performance for the 2018 season was titled Chef, based on the movie Ratatouille.
SkillsUSA also competed on April 19-22 at the State Leadership and Skills Conference in Ontario, California, where several team members placed in the top 3 in their categories. They competed in events such as the Health Knowledge Bowl, Nurse Assisting, Medical Terminology, and Medical Math. 6 of the students will compete at the National Championships in Kentucky at the end of June.
