“I got interested in the Japanese live action super hero shows while working on my book saga. American shows just didn’t stand out to me as much as Japanese ones like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai and Garo. Most people don’t really know about these shows since they mostly aired in Japan.”
– Senior Ian McDermott
“Everyone I know has seen ‘Titanic’, but I never had the urge to see it. I knew what was going to happen in the end anyway and the love story wasn’t appealing and didn’t convince me to see it either. I’m more interested in movies with more happy endings such as most of the Disney movies.”
– Junior Brittany Phan
“After ending my Yu-Gi-Oh phase, I started playing a different card game called Vanguard. It’s probably not the most popular and is a bit nerdy. But what makes the game interesting is the fact that it implements strategy and predictive analytics, not something I see in other games these days.”
– Senior Jerry Leong
“I’ve never seen or read ‘The Fault in Our Stars’, ‘The Hunger Games’, ‘Divergent’ and the ‘Harry Potter’ series. I just feel like it’s unnecessary since I haven’t really accomplished anything after finishing a book. Sometimes I wanted to continue a book but deep down I know that I can’t because it’s the end for some reason.”
