A good photographer can visually tell a story with his or her work. They know how to pose you, set angles, work with various lightings and make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Here’s a list of wonderful photographers who can capture any moment, especially the upcoming “Solace of Love.”
Students
Junior Dantin Duhamel
Duhamel is an experienced photographer and the photo editor of the Templar Yearbook staff. He showcases his work on his Facebook page, DCD Photography. Duhamel uses his Canon systems to ensure high quality pictures, and the locations he uses reflect each client’s personality. He generally charges $50 per couple and includes 4-8 prints. Sophomore Daichi Sakane
Sakane is skilled at photography and Photoshop. He exhibits his photos on his Facebook page, Daichi Photography, and uses a Canon EOS Rebel T1i with stock 18-55mm ef lens and sigma 28-300mm lens. He’s accepting locations within a five mile radius of the school, and is charging $25 per couple and $40 per group. There’s an additional $5 fee for editing. Sophomore Jessie Mok
Mok has had past experience photographing for formal dinners/events, wedding candids and group pictures using her Canon T4i. She charges $25 per couple and $39 for two couples. She’s suggesting Live Oak Park, but is accepting locations within a five mile radius from the school.

KrisBen Chen Photography
KrisBen Chen Photography is run by Sophomores Kristen Chen and Benjamin Chen. K. Chen has taken photos of couples for Prom and Homecoming and B. Chen has founded his own photography Facebook page, Benchentographs.
The team is charging $25 per couple and $40 for a group of four or more. They are recommending Almansor Park and Lacy Park, but are also accepting locations within a five mile radius from the school. Photos will be taken on a Nikon D510 and editing is included, but optional.

Alumni Photographers
Evan S. Huang
Huang is a professional photographer who has done photo shoots in the past for prom and other events. He’s charging $50 per couple for a one session ranging from an 60-90 minutes. This includes both individual shots and couple shots. He does not have a limit on distance, and is willing to meet with students at the location of the shoot. Gracee Chan
Chan is an experienced photographer who has done multiple photo shoots for friends and family. She uses a Canon EOS Rebel T3i with a variety of ultrasonic lenses ranging from 50mm-100mm. Chan is charging $15 per couple, excluding editing and prints, and $25 per couple for photos with editing included. Professional Studios
Sachiko Studio
Sachiko Studio is a professional photography firm located near the high school on Las Tunas Drive. The founder, Nadine Sachiko Hsu, is a natural light photographer, and all her photos have beautiful lighting that gives off a dreamlike feeling.
She offers a one hour session that starts at $475 on weekends, and includes digital files and an entry in a personal online gallery. She provides accessories for the shoot, and guides clients step by step through the posing process. The customer gets to pick the location, and is given access to Nadine’s special “location scouter” tool that will aid in finding the perfect setting for the session.
