Confession time: How much of the stuff that’s crammed into your closets and storage do you actually still need or use? The answer is most likely not a lot. Therefore, consider de-cluttering and donating your goods to a charity of some sort. These organizations will take your stuff off your hands and put them to good use.
Cell Phones for Soldiers
Cell Phones for Soldiers is an organization that uses money from recycling old cell phones to purchase calling cards for the troops who risk their lives for ours. The mission is to provide cost free communication tools to active-duty military members and veterans, and provide a way for them to keep in touch with their loved ones. These are some of the bravest people out there. The least we can do is donate our old phones as appreciation for their service.
Donations can be dropped off at:
Arcadia Republicans Inc
43 East Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA 91006

Planet Aid
Planet Aid is an association that strives to create a better environment by recycling old clothes and ultimately lowering the amount of air pollution in the atmosphere. The organization has a large number of bright yellow drop-off bins around the United States and accepts old clothing from men, women and children. Clothing donations are either sold at thrift shops or the fabric is recycled into new apparel. All proceeds go towards helping developing nations reduce hunger and poverty, and improve their overall standard of living.
To donate your old and unworn clothes, drop them off in donation bins conveniently placed around Temple City. The nearest one is located in the student parking lot.
