Extending beyond goals

Freshman Rai Xiang: “Not gonna lie, it was really surprising that I received ‘Most Improved’ at my studio. This was my first time getting a recognition award since all my competition dances were in groups or duets. This was my first solo recognition award and made me feel like ‘this is me’.”

Freshman Alexis Wu: “When I received two presidential awards, it felt satisfying like all my hard work paid off. To reach my goal, I studied each night for an hour. I would tell every student to listen to your teacher, do your homework, take notes, and keep track of due dates.”

Senior Kobe Hou: “I felt like [getting a driver’s license] was such a big part of growing up. A few of my friends were going along the same path as me so I felt encouraged by them. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get your license on the first try. Trust the process and you’ll start to get the hang of it.”
