From cottagecore clothing to bucket hats, there are many stylish options to choose from. As we head back to in-person learning, the real question is, “What should I wear?”
Mixed style
Wearing comfortable clothes during virtual learning was a highlight of senior Nicole Le’s junior year, but now, it’s the last year to show off her style.
Le wears a combination of baggy and tight clothes but what she ends up wearing depends on her mood. Before going to school, she paired a pastel blue crop top that highlighted a small, yellow sun in the middle with a white pleated skirt. Topping off the outfit with her white low-top Converse, a white headband and a black mask, she headed off to see her friends.
“Having a mixture of styles visibly represents my unique personality,” Le said. “Since everyone is different, our outfits reflect each of us as our own person.”

When freshman Isabella Realzola woke up, she surrounded herself with a dark color palette while deciding on an outfit for the first day of school. During quarantine, pajamas were her ideal choice of clothing, but now that she’s back in-person, she’s back in the game.
Realzola styled a gray pleated skirt with a black spaghetti strap top and a white zip-up hoodie. She finalized the outfit with some black knee-high socks paired with her white high-top Doc Martens. Borrowing clothes from her older sister and thrifting is Realzola’s sustainable way of mixing and matching her outfits.
“Wearing what makes me feel good about myself is the ultimate goal when choosing an outfit,” Realzola said. “For me, that’s darker colors like black and brown, but for others, it might be something totally opposite.”
Streetwear
Feeling comfy and confident is sophomore Christopher Narducci’s number one plan as he heads back to school.
He paired ripped Hollister dad jeans with a dark baggy racer t-shirt and styled the combo with white Nike Air Force 1’s and low-cut Ralph Lauren socks for his first day. Narducci completed his outfit with dark oversized mom shades and a black mask.
Trendsetters like Emma Chamberlain inspired Narducci to dive into the world of fashion and experiment with his clothes.
“Clothes allow you to feel confident while also sprinkling some fun into your everyday routine,” Narducci said. “Over quarantine, I learned how important the element of comfort is to fully expressing yourself through fashion.”
